Fair Use Policy
PolkaSpots Fair Usage Policy is there to make sure your Wireless Internet service is quick and reliable whenever you and others use it. A few people use Peer to Peer (p2p) or file sharing software, that constantly sends and receives large files throughout the day. This type of activity uses a lot of bandwidth and significantly reduces the speed at which other customers can use our service. One person using such software can spoil an entire network. We don't think this is fair. Do you? Our fair use policy automatically identifies heavy users and manages their bandwidth, to protect the service for all our other customers. Repeat offenders will have their accounts frozen.
Will I get disconnected?

Not if you're not using Peer-to-Peer or file sharing software. If you do use Peer to Peer or file sharing software, all we ask is that you use this software considerately and legally. If you are affected, we will contact you by email to let you know that your usage is excessive and is affecting other customers. If your usage remains excessive, we will contact you a second time to advise you that we will be restricting your bandwidth or disconnecting you for the good of all other customers.
